DIY: Decorate Your Shoes

Hello crafty girls! I'm so excited about this new DIY because it is very dear to me. Why is that you might ask? Well, this is THE project that made me decide to actually start a blog and a YouTube channel! So why did it take me so long to make and post it? Well I'm such a perfectionist and now with more experience and savvy technical skills acquired, I was finally able to make the video I envisioned!! So I hope you all enjoy it!

Decorating and personalizing your shoes is much simpler than you might think! With just a little bit of creativity you can make infinite designs that will wow your friends! You will get allot of, "Where did you get your shoes"? Then you can proudly respond, "Oh these, I designed them myself ;-)".  Awesome right!? It is also a great project for summer because let's face it, going back to school is all about new shoes, clothes, supplies, etc. So why not get a head start on a pair (or two) of newly designed shoes right?! I hope you try it out and have a crafty summer!! ♥

Gift For All Occations: Cake Pops!!

Hello crafty girls! Since Mother's Day is coming up I wanted to do a DIY that you can also do for ANY HOLIDAY! What is tastier and cuter than some cake pops?! They are easy, but a little time consuming I must admit. Nonetheless, they are completely worth it! Here is how I whipped them up!

Ingredients: Any cake mix, cream cheese icing, candy melts, lollipop sticks, and any form of decoration (sprinkles, chocolate, icing, etc).

Super easy instructions:
1. Follow instructions on the cake mix and bake.
2. Once it cools mash it all up and add the icing mixing evenly.
3. Make your balls (place on cooking sheet) and refrigerate for a few hours, or freeze it like I did for like 45 minutes.
4. Heat up the candy melts and first dip the tips of the lollipop sticks to stick on the balls. Let it harden.
5. Now coat the whole ball with the candy melt mixture, decorate, and let it dry & harden (I used a foam piece).

Now all you have to do is either package them individually in little plastic bags or the whole base and pops with plastic wrapping. That's it!! Hopefully you love them because they are a great gift! I hope my instructional pictures help you visualize the easy process.

Happy Mother's Day and Happy Crafting :-)!

PS. This gift ideas is even great for men! Here is my picture to prove it ;-) lol! The Mustache stencil is from here: http://www.kandeej.com/2011/12/diy-craft-gift-idea-mustache-mug.html . Happy Holidays!

DIY: Easy Necklace Ideas

A girl could never have too much jewelry. We all love accessories because they turn our outfits from BLAH to WOW, instantly. Did you know that there are many unconventional items you can use to make jewelry too, that you most likely have lying around your house? You can use items like key chains and pins/brooches. You can even use fruit loops or popcorn, like we did when we were kids, and then have a snack for later HA! Well, maybe not the food, but you get the point! Let your creativity flow and find new uses for things that you have lying around, recycle, and create! Check out the video below to see how to do this and for inspiration. Happy Crafting
