Get Spring/Summer Fashion Ready!

The warm weather is around the corner and it's always exciting to bring in the new season with new fun fashion pieces. Buying new goodies shouldn't have to break the piggy bank; my tip is to choose to refresh your wardrobe with accessories. They can be used with anything and bring a new life to your old summer outfits!

* Jewelry is the least expensive way to jazz up your wardrobe! Get very trendy, bright, statement pieces. I usually don't recommend buying very trendy pieces because they go out of style very quickly, but I do with accessories, so choose jewelry as your “over the top” trendy pieces!

* Scarves are fun because you can bring in color and texture to your spring outfit! You can also wear them in infinite ways!

* Try inexpensive clutches and handbags to use as a statement piece! Brights are in, and you can find them everywhere!

* Shoes are a great wardrobe transformer as well. They might be a little pricier then the accessories preciously mentioned, but try a cute neutrals or brown style that you can match with everything. Also, a cute funky ballet flat style is perfect and less of an investment!

* I saved this one for last because it’s my favorite! Try a pop of color on you face! Go wild and try a hot pink lipstick! If you’re not a lipstick person you can add a pop of color on your eyes with a bright eyeliner, or eye shadow; or even try pink glowing cheeks!

As you can see there are many ways to bring in spring! So enjoy the new season gals!!

Discount Store Shopping 101

We all want a good sale, but most of us dread going to discount stores like Ross and Marshall’s, and with good reason. These stores are usually an overcrowding mess, with limited supply of items, and the long lines at the cash registers are upsettingly long. Nonetheless, there are a few tips to avoid many discomforts and make your discount shopping experience more tolerable and pleasurable.

·         Never go on a weekend. That’s when the crowds line up. The best time to go is on weekdays, and if you can, be an early bird and go in the mornings.

·         Don’t hesitate to ask a store associate what day they get shipments in. That’s when you will find the best selection and first picks.

·         Don’t expect to find a particular item, because chances are you will not find it, and you will be greatly disappointed.  Instead go with an open mind and just browse the category of items you are interested in. For example, search for and browse through all of the handbags, instead of trying to find a specific black leather Guess handbag that a friend just bought.

·         Know the store’s discount programs, points cards etc. For example, on Tuesdays Ross gives senior citizens a 10% discount.

Not everything is a good value at discount stores, so you have to be careful. There are very good items though, that are worth the trip to the discount store. Their prices are significantly cheaper than retail stores, and they carry good luxury brands. Some of the best products worth buying are:
·         Handbags
·         Shoes
·         Men’s belts and wallets
·         Bathroom accessories
·         Sunglasses

So hopefully all of these tips give you all the tools to have the best discount shopping experience, so start shopping and saving!
