Modern Vintage Girl

Hello pretty girls! I hope you all are taking advantage of your last days of summer, I sure am! Here is a quick casual, afternoon summer outfit of the day. I love to take vintage pieces and make them modern. What is the vintage piece I'm wearing you might ask? Exactly, if you can't tell I have succeeded ;-)! It is the floral top! I found this gem in my mother's closet, from ages ago. Isn't it stunning? The key to modernize this top was to remove the over-sized shoulder pads and roll up the long sleeves. Voila, easy and chic! So scavenge your family's closet, you will never know what treasures you will find! ♥ Laura

DIY Scarf Necklace...or Necklace Scarf

Hello crafty girls! It is officially the second day of summer, how exciting! I hope you all are enjoying your beautiful summer break! I have a lot more fun projects coming up so stay tuned!!

Today is all about the scarf (yes yet again, what can I say I love them!). Wearing a scarf can get kind of boring if you wear it the same way every time. So I came up with these 2 easy styles that can refresh and revamp your simple look to make it more interesting! All you need is a long necklace and a lightweight scarf! That is it, and it's simple and cute! I made an instructional video for you all, I hope you like it!!! If you all enjoy watching scarf styles let me know and I can do more!! Remember fashion is about having fun and trying new things. And when you can use items you already own, well that's just awesome! It's a modern way of recycling what you already have ;-).  Take care pretty girls and don't forget to always be creative ♥

DIY: Easy Necklace Ideas

A girl could never have too much jewelry. We all love accessories because they turn our outfits from BLAH to WOW, instantly. Did you know that there are many unconventional items you can use to make jewelry too, that you most likely have lying around your house? You can use items like key chains and pins/brooches. You can even use fruit loops or popcorn, like we did when we were kids, and then have a snack for later HA! Well, maybe not the food, but you get the point! Let your creativity flow and find new uses for things that you have lying around, recycle, and create! Check out the video below to see how to do this and for inspiration. Happy Crafting
